What is the prompt tester?

The prompt tester lets use your prompt as the context for chatting with the AI that generated the prompt to see how it responds to your instructions.

How to use the prompt tester

Navigate to Prompt Tester on the right side of the editor within the AI application you’re building. Use it like any other AI chat and type your message into the interface.

Example 

For a “sales lead generator” that generates leads and creates outreach emails, an example prompt you can test is:

• “The assistant’s role is to provide the user with a list of potential leads and an outreach email to send to each lead.some text
  • The assistant must provide a comprehensive list of potential leads with relevant contact information.
  • The assistant must generate a customized outreach email for each lead, tailored to the specific industry or business.
  • The assistant must be efficient and detail-oriented.
  • The assistant’s responses should be concise and actionable, providing the user with valuable leads and effective outreach communication.”

To use the prompt tester, type this message: 

• “What is your role?”

The AI responded:

• “My role is to assist you with generating sales leads and crafting personalized outreach emails. I will provide you with a comprehensive list of potential leads, along with a customized email template for each lead that is tailored to their specific industry or business.
• My goal is to help you efficiently identify and connect with the most promising sales prospects, increasing your chances of generating new business opportunities. I will strive to be thorough, detail-oriented, and responsive to your needs throughout this process.

The AI is responding based on the context of the prompt. If you want to prompt the AI to generate a specific output, you could ask the AI to provide an email template. The AI will use the prompt instructions as context and generate a custom email template that fits the prompt’s specifications.
