What are usage limits?

Usage limits are designed to help Team and Enterprise users control spending on AI applications by setting monthly budgets for your workspace and its users. You can choose how much you want to spend each month and avoid unexpected costs.

How to set usage limits

1. Navigate to your workspace settings by clicking the workspace drop-down menu in the top-right corner and selecting the settings icon.
2. Select the Limits tab. Enter the desired amounts for these fields, according to your monthly budget and spending goals:some text
   • Monthly workspace budget: Set the maximum usage for your entire workspace in a given calendar month.
   • Monthly user budget: Set the maximum usage per application for each user in your workspace.
   • Email notification threshold: Set a threshold for your overall workspace usage. When your usage reaches this threshold, you'll receive an email warning you that you are approaching your monthly budget. 
3. Click Save. Your new usage limits will be saved and applied.

Who can access and change usage limits?

Only the workspace owner can access and change usage limits.

What happens if a user exceeds their monthly budget?

• Workspace owner: If the workspace owner exceeds their monthly budget, all subsequent workspace usage will be suspended. The workspace owner can reinstate their usage at any time.
• Individual user: If a user exceeds their personal usage budget, their usage will be suspended. Only the workspace owner can reinstate their usage.

Important notes

• MindStudio may have a slight delay in enforcing these limits. You are still responsible for any overage incurred.
• If you want to increase your invoice credit allowance, click Request an increase.
