Learn how to view and export usage data to monitor your AI spending and make informed decisions about your projects.

Viewing your usage data

MindStudio provides detailed usage data that allows you to track your AI application spending by day, app, user, and model. This information can help you optimize your AI projects and make informed decisions about your spending.

  1. Navigate to your workspace settings by clicking the workspace drop-down menu in the top-right corner and selecting the settings icon. 
  2. Click the Usage tab and choose how you want to view your usage:some text
    • By App: See usage details for each AI application.
    • By User: See usage details for each individual in your workspace.
    • By LLM/Function: See usage details according to the AI model or function used.
  3. Select a specific time frame. The default view will show your usage for the current month. Click the left and right arrows next to the date to view data from a different month.

Exporting usage data

You can export your usage data for a specific month as a CSV file. This allows you to save your data for your records or further analysis. 

  1. On the Usage tab, click the Export button. This will download a CSV file to your computer.
  2. Open the downloaded CSV file which includes these fields: some text
    • billing_events_app_id: A unique identifier for each billing event
    • name: The name of the AI application used
    • billed_amount: The cost of the usage
    • message_count: The number of messages sent through the AI application

Additional information

  • Each section of the Usage tab includes a bar graph showing your daily usage, a donut graph showing your monthly spend breakdown, and a table listing the specific applications and their usage details.
  • To view more details about a specific AI application, click the arrow to the right of each app entry. This will bring up a more detailed usage breakdown for that application, including a bar graph of daily usage and a table listing individual users and their message counts.
